What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Focalpoint Coaching's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial marketing fee is generally not refundable. The standard initial marketing fee is $2,950, plus applicable taxes, and is paid in a lump sum when signing the Franchise Agreement. This fee contributes to Focalpoint Coaching's costs for direct marketing to acquire clients for the franchisee's business.

However, there is an exception for franchisees who operate a Focalpoint AR Business under an Area Representative Agreement. These franchisees will sign an AR Addendum to the Franchise Agreement, which waives the obligation to pay the initial marketing fee.

For all other franchisees, the initial marketing fee is uniform and explicitly stated as non-refundable under any circumstances. This means that a prospective Focalpoint Coaching franchisee should be prepared to lose this $2,950 fee regardless of whether they ultimately launch their franchise, unless they qualify for the Area Representative exception.
