What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Focalpoint Coaching's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee chooses to locate their office in a non-residential location, Focalpoint Coaching will prescribe certain provisions that must be included in the office's lease. Additionally, Focalpoint Coaching will provide mandatory and suggested specifications and layouts for the office. These specifications include requirements for dimensions, design, image, interior layout, decor, fixtures, equipment, signs, furnishings, and color scheme.
Before a franchisee can open in a non-residential location, the site must meet Focalpoint Coaching's criteria. These criteria include demographic characteristics, parking, the character of the neighborhood, competition from other businesses, proximity to other businesses, the nature of other businesses, size, appearance, and other physical and commercial characteristics. While Focalpoint Coaching may offer reasonable assistance in designating the location of the office, they will not conduct site selection activities for the franchisee.
If an office location has not been approved in writing by Focalpoint Coaching as of the effective date of the Franchise Agreement, the franchisee must locate an office acceptable to Focalpoint Coaching and obtain written approval of the location within 60 days following the effective date. If the franchisee and Focalpoint Coaching cannot agree on an acceptable site and the franchisee does not open their office within 60 days following the effective date of the Franchise Agreement, Focalpoint Coaching may terminate the Franchise Agreement.
