We may use reasonable efforts to assist you in designating the location of the Office, although we will not conduct site selection activities for you. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Focalpoint Coaching's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee chooses to locate their office in a non-residential location, the site must meet specific criteria. These criteria include demographic characteristics, parking availability, the character of the neighborhood, and the nature and proximity of other businesses. Additionally, the site's size, appearance, and other physical and commercial characteristics must also meet Focalpoint Coaching's standards.
Focalpoint Coaching may offer reasonable assistance in designating the location of the office, but they will not conduct site selection activities for the franchisee. The franchisee must locate an office acceptable to Focalpoint Coaching and obtain written approval of the location within 60 days following the effective date of the Franchise Agreement.
If Focalpoint Coaching and the franchisee cannot agree on an acceptable site, and the franchisee does not open their office within the 60-day timeframe, Focalpoint Coaching reserves the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement. The FDD also states that Focalpoint Coaching will prescribe certain provisions that must be included in the office's lease if the location is non-residential and will provide mandatory and suggested specifications and layouts for the office, including requirements for dimensions, design, image, interior layout, decor, fixtures, equipment, signs, furnishings, and color scheme.
