What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Focalpoint Coaching FDD, franchisees are not required to participate in a regional cooperative advertising program. However, Focalpoint Coaching has established a formal Advertising and Development Fund, to which franchisees must contribute. The contribution is capped at $150 per month, with an additional $150 per month for each associate the franchisee retains or hires.
The Advertising and Development Fund is used for advertising, marketing, and public relations programs and materials that Focalpoint Coaching deems appropriate. The franchisor, or a designated advertising agency, directs all programs financed by the fund, maintaining sole control over creative concepts, materials, endorsements, and their placement. The fund may be used for various advertising activities, including preparing materials, maintaining websites, administering regional and multi-regional marketing programs, and supporting public relations efforts.
During the 2024 fiscal year, the fund's contributions were allocated as follows: 10% to media placement, 75% to production expenses, and 15% to administrative expenses. While the fund aims to maximize recognition of the Focalpoint Coaching brand, the franchisor does not guarantee that expenditures in any specific geographic area will be proportionate to the contributions from franchisees operating in that area. Focalpoint Coaching also has the right to collect advertising allowances from suppliers and deposit them into the fund.
