Can a Focalpoint Coaching franchisee request additional training after the initial training?
Focalpoint_Coaching Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Franchisee (or Franchisee's Managing Owner) may request additional training at the end of the initial training, to be provided at Franchisor's then current per diem charges, if Franchisee (or Franchisee's Managing Owner) does not feel sufficiently trained in the operation of a FocalPoint Franchised Business. Franchisor and Franchisee (or Franchisee's Managing Owner) will jointly determine the duration of this additional training. However, if Franchisee (or Franchisee's Managing Owner) or Franchisee's Business Manager, if applicable, satisfactorily completes Franchisor's initial training program and has not expressly informed Franchisor at the end of the program that Franchisee (or Franchisee's Managing Owner) or Franchisee's Business Manager, if applicable, does not feel sufficiently trained in the operation of a FocalPoint Franchised Business, then Franchisee (or Franchisee's Managing Owner) will be deemed to have been trained sufficiently to operate a FocalPoint Franchised Business.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Focalpoint Coaching's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee (or their Managing Owner) can request additional training at the end of the initial training if they don't feel adequately trained to operate the Focalpoint Coaching franchised business. This additional training is provided at Focalpoint Coaching's then-current per diem charges, and the duration of the training will be jointly determined by Focalpoint Coaching and the franchisee (or their Managing Owner). However, if the franchisee (or their Managing Owner) or the Business Manager satisfactorily completes the initial training program and does not inform Focalpoint Coaching that they feel insufficiently trained, they will be considered sufficiently trained to operate the business.
In addition to the initial training, Focalpoint Coaching may also require franchisees (or their Managing Owner), the Business Manager, and/or other previously trained and experienced employees to attend and complete various training courses periodically. These courses can be provided either online or in-person at designated times and locations. Focalpoint Coaching may charge reasonable registration or similar fees for these courses. Franchisees are also required to attend an annual national meeting and an annual regional meeting, with in-person attendance not exceeding five days in any calendar year. The franchisee is responsible for all costs associated with attending these training courses and meetings.
Furthermore, Focalpoint Coaching may advise franchisees at any time regarding the operation of their franchised business based on reports or inspections. They may also provide guidance on various aspects, including standards, operating procedures, purchasing, advertising, employee training, and administrative procedures. If a franchisee requests and Focalpoint Coaching agrees to provide additional or special guidance, assistance, or training, the franchisee will be responsible for paying Focalpoint Coaching's then-applicable charges, including per diem charges and travel and living expenses for personnel. Consultation Services can include advice, on-site reviews, additional training, and other specialized assistance.
