What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Focalpoint Coaching's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee has the option to acquire a successor franchise term of seven years. This new term commences immediately upon the expiration of the original franchise agreement, provided the franchisee meets certain conditions and complies with Focalpoint Coaching's renewal terms.
To be eligible for a successor franchise, the franchisee must have substantially complied with the existing agreement throughout its term and be in full compliance with the agreement and all system standards both when giving written notice of their intent to renew and on the date the successor term would begin. If the office is in a non-residential location, the franchisee must maintain possession and agree to remodel/expand the office or secure a substitute office that meets Focalpoint Coaching's standards for new franchises.
The franchisee must also sign the current form of franchise agreement used by Focalpoint Coaching for new franchises, which may differ materially from the original agreement, including potential changes to royalty and fund contribution amounts. Additionally, the franchisee is required to pay a renewal fee of $5,000, plus applicable taxes, when submitting their written notice to acquire a successor franchise. The territory will remain the same under the new agreement.
