What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Focalpoint Coaching Franchise Disclosure Document, Focalpoint Coaching has the right to discontinue or modify any specific ongoing training or advice it provides to franchisees. The FDD states that any specific ongoing training or advice provided by Focalpoint Coaching does not create an obligation to continue providing it. Focalpoint Coaching may discontinue and modify such training or advice at any time.
This clause gives Focalpoint Coaching considerable flexibility in adapting its training programs and advice based on its evolving business strategies, market conditions, or other factors. It also clarifies that franchisees cannot claim they are entitled to the continuation of specific training or advice based on prior interactions or a 'course of dealing.'
For a prospective Focalpoint Coaching franchisee, this means that the training and support they receive may change over time. While Focalpoint Coaching may initially offer specific guidance, they are not obligated to maintain that guidance indefinitely. Franchisees should be prepared to adapt to changes in training and advice and should not rely on receiving the same support throughout the term of their franchise agreement. This is a fairly standard clause in franchise agreements, as franchisors need the ability to update their systems and training to remain competitive.
