What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Focalpoint Coaching FDD, Brian Tracy, despite his endorsement and role as the developer of the FocalPoint Coaching System, does not have managerial control over Focalpoint Coaching. However, Focalpoint Coaching pays Brian Tracy a license fee. This fee ranges from 6% to 10% of the initial franchise fees and continuing royalty fees paid by FocalPoint franchise owners.

The license fee amount for Focalpoint Coaching franchises operating in the United States can increase annually, with a maximum cap of 10%. This financial arrangement suggests that while Tracy's name and system are integral to the franchise, his involvement is limited to endorsement and system development rather than direct management.

For a prospective franchisee, this means that while Brian Tracy's name is associated with the brand, the franchisee will not be dealing with him directly in terms of management or operational decisions. The franchisee will, however, indirectly contribute to the license fees paid to Tracy through their initial and ongoing royalty payments. This arrangement is common in franchise systems where a public figure's endorsement is used to enhance brand recognition and credibility.
