What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fly To Fit's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the System Standards may include requirements for cleaning, maintenance, and repair. Franchisees are obligated to maintain the business in a neat and clean condition, perform appropriate maintenance, and keep all physical property in good repair. Fly To Fit may also prescribe specific work on the physical property, such as painting, resurfacing parking lots, roof repairs, and replacing worn-out items.
This means that as a Fly To Fit franchisee, you must adhere to these standards to ensure the business premises are well-maintained and presentable. Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential, and you must also be prepared to undertake larger repairs and replacements as directed by Fly To Fit. These requirements are part of the broader System Standards, which encompass various aspects of the business, including appearance, cleanliness, and quality of service.
Failure to comply with these maintenance and repair standards could lead to the franchisee being in default of the Franchise Agreement. Fly To Fit also retains the right to inspect the premises and charge the franchisee for expenses incurred during inspections if deficiencies or non-compliance with System Standards are found. Therefore, it is crucial for prospective franchisees to understand and budget for these ongoing maintenance and repair obligations.
