What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fly To Fit's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fly To Fit has the authority to revoke previously approved suppliers. Specifically, Fly To Fit may grant approvals of new suppliers or revoke past approvals of suppliers. They will notify franchisees of these changes either through written notice or by updating their Manual.
This means that a Fly To Fit franchisee might initially be permitted to use a specific supplier for certain goods or services, but that approval could be withdrawn later. This could force the franchisee to switch to a different supplier, potentially impacting their costs, quality, or operational efficiency. It is important to note that the FDD does not specify the reasons or conditions under which Fly To Fit might revoke an approval, only that they can do so.
Fly To Fit also issues specifications and standards for applicable aspects of the franchise in their Manual and/or in written directives. They may issue new specifications and standards for any aspect of their brand system, or modify existing specifications and standards, at any time by revising their Manual and/or issuing new written directives, which may be communicated to franchisees by any method they choose. Fly To Fit will generally (but are not obligated to) issue new or revised specifications only after thorough testing in their headquarters, in company-owned outlets, and/or a limited market test in multiple units.
Prospective franchisees should inquire about the typical reasons for supplier approval revocation and how much advance notice Fly To Fit provides in such cases. Understanding these factors can help a franchisee better prepare for potential changes in their supply chain and manage their business operations effectively.
