What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fly To Fit's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are obligated to disclose all ideas, plans, improvements, concepts, methods, and techniques related to the Fly To Fit business that they, their employees, agents, or contractors conceive or develop. These are collectively referred to as "Innovations." This requirement ensures that Fly To Fit is aware of any advancements or modifications made to the business model.

Fly To Fit will automatically own all Innovations disclosed by the franchisee and has the right to incorporate these Innovations into the Fly To Fit system without providing any compensation to the franchisee. This means that any successful improvements or ideas developed by a franchisee become the property of Fly To Fit, which can then be used across the entire franchise system.

Furthermore, the franchisee is required to execute any documents reasonably requested by Fly To Fit to formally document Fly To Fit's ownership of these Innovations. This legal step ensures that Fly To Fit has the necessary paperwork to protect its ownership of the new ideas and improvements. This clause highlights the importance of franchisees understanding that any innovation they bring to the business automatically becomes the property of the franchisor.
