What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to make refurbishments and replacements to comply with Fly Fitness's standards. This includes additions, alterations, repairs, and replacements to meet the franchisor's standards for decor, sanitation, repair, and overall condition. These standards are detailed in the Fly Fitness manual and other written directives.

Specifically, franchisees must handle periodic repainting, repairs, or replacement of worn or impaired decor, materials, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and signage as directed by Fly Fitness. These requirements ensure that all franchised locations maintain a consistent brand image and quality, which is typical in franchising.

This obligation is at the franchisee's expense, meaning they are responsible for covering all costs associated with these upgrades and maintenance. This is a standard practice in franchising, where franchisees generally bear the financial responsibility for maintaining the appearance and functionality of their individual locations to meet brand standards.
