What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Initial Management Training Program is generally held at the company headquarters or another location of Fly Fitness's choosing. The training program is a five-day course that the franchisee (if an individual) or all owners (if the franchisee is a business entity) and the general manager must complete to Fly Fitness's satisfaction before opening their franchised business.
The training is conducted approximately every four weeks, as needed, throughout the year. The training is currently provided by Jenni Bruning Brown & Morgan Mattison or another qualified team member.
Fly Fitness includes the cost of instructors and training materials for up to three people in the initial franchise fee. However, franchisees are responsible for covering all travel and personal expenses, including transportation, meals, and lodging for themselves and their personnel. If additional trainees need initial training, Fly Fitness charges a fee of $400 per person. Fly Fitness also reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee for initial training provided to any manager appointed after the franchise opens, with the current fee being $400 per trainer per day, plus the manager's travel and personal expenses.
