According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if the franchisee is an individual, they must complete the Initial Management Training Program. If the franchisee is a business entity, all owners must complete the training program. In addition to the franchisee or owners, the general manager must also complete the five-day Initial Management Training Program to the satisfaction of Fly Fitness prior to opening the franchised business.

Fly Fitness conducts the Initial Management Training Program approximately every four weeks at their headquarters or another location of their choosing. The training is provided by Jenni Bruning Brown & Morgan Mattison or another qualified team member. The training program includes the Operations Manual and website-based instructional videos and tools. Hands-on training also includes observation and active instruction.

The cost of instructors and training materials for up to three people is included in the Initial Franchise Fee. However, the franchisee is responsible for travel and personal expenses, including transportation, meals, and lodging for themselves and their personnel. There is a current fee of $400 per person to provide initial training to any additional trainees. Fly Fitness also reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee to provide initial training to any manager appointed after the initial opening of the franchised business; the current fee to provide initial training to any replacement manager is $400 per trainer per day, plus travel and personal expenses.
