Is Fly Fitness obligated to provide individualized assistance at all times?

According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fly Fitness is not obligated to provide franchisees with assistance at all times. The FDD states, "Except as listed below, we are not required to provide you with any assistance."

However, Fly Fitness does provide assistance in certain areas. Before opening a franchised business, Fly Fitness will provide site selection guidelines, guidance for outlet layout and design, loan of the Fly Fitness Operations Manual, a written list of required equipment, and initial training. Fly Fitness will also set minimum and maximum prices for products and services, subject to applicable law, and provide standards for employee qualifications and training.

After opening, Fly Fitness will offer additional training programs and provide a trainer for on-site training, supervision, and assistance for a limited time. Fly Fitness will also approve or disapprove advertising materials proposed by the franchisee. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand the specific areas in which Fly Fitness provides support and to plan accordingly for areas where they will need to rely on their own resources or hire additional help.
