What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may be required to attend an annual business meeting or franchisee conference. If attendance is mandatory, the conference will be up to three days in length. The location of the conference is determined by Fly Fitness.
Attendance at the annual meeting is considered a requirement of the Franchise Agreement, and failure to attend can result in a default under the agreement. Fly Fitness retains the right to charge a reasonable fee for tuition or attendance at the conference.
In addition to any fees charged by Fly Fitness, franchisees are responsible for covering their own expenses for transportation, lodging, meals, and other costs associated with attending the annual meeting. This could represent a significant expense for franchisees, especially if the meeting is held in a location that requires extensive travel.
