What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the location of mandatory additional training programs is determined by Fly Fitness. The document states that franchisees must attend mandatory additional training for up to three days each year, as well as an annual business meeting or franchisee conference for up to three days each year. These events will be held at a location designated by Fly Fitness.

Failure to attend these mandatory programs constitutes a default under the Franchise Agreement. Fly Fitness reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee for tuition and/or attendance for these additional training programs, including the annual business meeting or conference. Franchisees are also responsible for covering their own transportation, lodging, meals, and other related expenses to attend any mandatory training program.

If a franchisee fails to attend a mandatory training program, they are required to obtain the training at a location designated by Fly Fitness. The franchisee will bear the full cost of this alternative training, including tuition at the then-current rate, all travel costs, and the travel costs for Fly Fitness's trainer. This highlights the importance of attending the scheduled mandatory training to avoid additional expenses and potential penalties.
