What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement does address training requirements for franchisees and their employees. Specifically, franchisees must employ qualified individuals trained according to Fly Fitness's standards.
Within 90 days of hiring, coaches (and the franchisee or principal, if providing fitness instruction) must obtain personal training certifications from a nationally recognized organization approved by Fly Fitness. Franchisees are also responsible for ensuring their coaches (and themselves, if applicable) attend any required continuing education or training programs to maintain their certifications, at their own expense.
This indicates that Fly Fitness places a strong emphasis on certified and continuously trained staff. This requirement ensures a consistent level of service and expertise across all Fly Fitness franchise locations, which can positively impact customer satisfaction and brand reputation. However, it also means that franchisees must budget for the initial and ongoing training and certification costs for their staff.
