What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the territory details are found in Attachment 3, which is incorporated into the franchise agreement. This attachment designates the specific area granted to the franchisee for operating their Fly Fitness franchise. The grant applies exclusively to a single location within this defined territory.
Attachment 3 is crucial because it outlines the geographic boundaries within which the Fly Fitness franchisee has the right to operate. This territory is exclusive, meaning Fly Fitness will not authorize other franchisees to operate a Fly Fitness outlet using the same marks within that territory, provided the franchisee remains in compliance with the agreement. This exclusivity is a key element of the franchise agreement, offering a degree of market protection to the franchisee.
Prospective franchisees should carefully review Attachment 3 to fully understand the scope and limitations of their territory. The attachment may include a map or define the territory by zip codes, counties, city limits, or physical boundaries like roads and rivers. Understanding these boundaries is essential for assessing the market potential and planning the business operations of the Fly Fitness franchise.
