What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering travel and personal expenses related to training programs. The initial franchise fee covers the cost of instructors and training materials for up to three people. However, franchisees must pay for all travel and personal expenses, including transportation, meals, and lodging for themselves and their personnel during the initial training. If additional trainees require initial training, there is a fee of $400 per person.

For any manager appointed after the initial opening of the Fly Fitness franchise, the franchisee must pay a fee of $400 per trainer per day for initial training, as well as covering the manager's travel and personal expenses.

Fly Fitness also requires franchisees to attend mandatory additional training programs, which may occur up to three days each year, as well as an annual business meeting or franchisee conference, also up to three days each year. Franchisees are responsible for transportation, lodging, meals, and other expenses associated with attending these mandatory programs. If a franchisee fails to attend a mandatory training program, they must obtain the training at a designated location at their sole cost, including tuition at the then-current rate, plus all travel costs for both the franchisee and the Fly Fitness trainer.
