What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, during the construction or remodeling phase of the Franchised Business, the franchisee is required to provide periodic reports to Fly Fitness or its designated representative. These reports should detail the progress in obtaining all necessary licenses and permits, as well as the progress of the construction or remodeling work itself. The frequency and specific content of these reports are determined by what Fly Fitness reasonably requests.
In addition to these reports, Fly Fitness or its representative has the right to conduct on-site inspections to assess the progress of the construction or remodeling. Furthermore, the franchisee must notify Fly Fitness at least thirty (30) days before the scheduled completion date of the construction or remodeling.
This requirement ensures that Fly Fitness maintains oversight of the construction or remodeling process, helping to ensure that the franchisee adheres to the brand's standards and specifications. It also allows Fly Fitness to provide timely assistance or guidance if any issues arise during the construction or remodeling phase. Franchisees should maintain thorough records of all licenses, permits, and construction activities to facilitate the preparation of these reports and to ensure compliance with the franchise agreement.
