What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fly Fitness provides franchisees with standards for employee qualifications and training. However, Fly Fitness does not offer additional assistance with employee hiring and training beyond these standards.
Fly Fitness does provide initial training to franchisees and their staff. The cost of instructors and training materials for up to three people is included in the initial franchise fee. Additional trainees can receive initial training for a fee of $400 per person. Fly Fitness also reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee to provide initial training to any manager appointed after the initial opening of the franchised business; the current fee is $400 per trainer per day, plus travel and personal expenses.
At the opening of the Fly Fitness franchised business, Fly Fitness will provide a trainer for on-site training, supervision, and assistance with daily operations, local marketing, and the grand opening. This on-site training will last for up to five days at no additional cost to the franchisee. Fly Fitness may also conduct mandatory or optional additional training programs, including an annual conference or national business meeting, with associated costs for tuition, attendance, and travel expenses borne by the franchisee.
