What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor approves the nationally recognized organizations that issue personal training certifications for franchisee's coaches.

Specifically, within 90 days of being hired, Fly Fitness coaches (including the franchisee or principal if they provide fitness instruction) must obtain personal training certifications from organizations approved by Fly Fitness. The franchisee bears the expense of ensuring their coaches obtain and maintain these certifications through any required continuing education or training programs.

This requirement ensures that all fitness instructors meet a baseline standard of competence and training, which protects the Fly Fitness brand and reputation. It also means prospective franchisees must factor in the cost and time for coaches to get certified when budgeting and staffing their Fly Fitness location. Franchisees should inquire about the specific organizations approved by Fly Fitness to ensure compliance and avoid any potential issues.
