What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fly Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the advertising standards and requirements for franchisees are detailed in the operations manual or otherwise communicated by Fly Fitness. Specifically, all advertising and promotion must be conducted professionally and adhere to Fly Fitness's standards.

Before using any advertising, press releases, promotional plans, or public relations programs, a Fly Fitness franchisee must submit them to Fly Fitness for approval. This includes materials in digital, electronic, or computerized form, or any media developed now or in the future, unless Fly Fitness has already provided or approved them. Fly Fitness has ten business days to approve or disapprove the submitted materials. If Fly Fitness does not respond within this timeframe, the plans are considered disapproved, and the franchisee cannot use them until written approval is obtained.

Fly Fitness franchisees must stop using any advertising or promotional materials upon notice from Fly Fitness, regardless of whether they were previously approved. Any advertising, marketing, or sales concepts developed by a franchisee and approved by Fly Fitness can be used by other franchisees in the Fly Fitness system without compensating the originating franchisee. This clause ensures Fly Fitness maintains control over brand messaging and consistency across all franchise locations, while also allowing the system to benefit from successful franchisee-generated ideas.
