(7) Provide a complete list of the equipment, fixtures, supplies and inventory necessary for the Center to open for business. We will also assist you in ordering and display of your initial inventory. Generally, we do not deliver or install your equipment and fixtures. (Franchise Agreement – Section 4F and Section 6).

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Flowerama's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Flowerama will provide a complete list of the equipment, fixtures, supplies, and inventory necessary for the Flowerama Center to open. Flowerama will also assist the franchisee in ordering and displaying their initial inventory. However, Flowerama generally does not deliver or install the equipment and fixtures.

Flowerama also advises franchisees, at reasonable times upon request and at no additional charge, regarding purchasing required fixtures, furnishings, equipment, signs, products, materials, and supplies. This consultation includes guidance on the standard specifications and operating procedures, methods used by the Flowerama Centers, advertising and marketing programs, employee hiring and training, and administrative, bookkeeping, and accounting procedures. This guidance will be furnished in the Operations Manual or supplemental written materials provided periodically and/or during telephone consultations.

Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to purchase or lease a BloomNet POS System, with estimated costs ranging from $150 to $10,000, and monthly costs of approximately $200 for lease, maintenance, upgrades, and updates. Alternatively, the franchisee can purchase or lease a Visual Ticket POS System, with estimated costs ranging from $5,000 to $50,000, and monthly costs of $200 to $500, depending on the number of stations and features chosen. Flowerama reserves the right to specify or change the approved POS System, requiring franchisees to upgrade their POS System every 3 years with 90 days' notice. Start-up franchises must purchase the POS System designated or approved by Flowerama.
