What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Flowerama's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must clearly indicate their independent business status on any websites used in connection with their Flowerama Center. This designation must be displayed in bold typeface.
This requirement ensures that customers understand that each Flowerama location is independently owned and operated, which can affect customer service, pricing, and other operational aspects. It also protects Flowerama of America, Inc. from potential liabilities arising from the actions of individual franchisees.
In addition to websites, Flowerama franchisees are also required to designate their independent business status on all cards, stationery, checks, invoices, and other written materials used in their business operations. This consistent messaging reinforces the independent nature of each franchise location to both customers and suppliers.
