What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Floors To Go Franchise Disclosure Document, Floors To Go reserves the right to require franchisees to use "Floors To Go" in their fictitious trade name and as a permanent part of their exterior signage. This means that as a franchisee, you might be obligated to incorporate the brand name into how your business is publicly known and displayed. This requirement ensures brand consistency and visibility across all franchise locations.

If a franchisee chooses to develop an independent website, including "Floors To Go" in the fictitious trade name and making it a permanent part of the exterior signage can lead to a benefit. Upon the franchisee's request and Floors To Go's prior written approval, a hyperlink to the franchisee's independent website will be placed on the website that Floors To Go maintains for the showroom. This integration can help drive traffic to the franchisee's website and improve online visibility.

However, franchisees are not permitted to use the name "Floors To Go" as part of their legal or business name except to describe that they are doing business as a Floors To Go member or to geographically describe the location of their franchised business. This distinction is important because it clarifies the specific contexts in which the brand name can be used, ensuring compliance with Floors To Go's trademark and branding guidelines. Any advertising, marketing, or promotional materials must be approved in writing by Floors To Go prior to publication.
