What This Means (2025 FDD)

Based on the 2025 Floors To Go Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to use the Floors To Go name and logos on various items, but the document does not specifically address vehicle markings. The FDD states that franchisees must use the Floors To Go name and logos on display signs, decorations, advertising, carpet, floor covering samples, and other printed and decorative materials used in or on the premises. Franchisees must also include any legends, markings, and notices that Floors To Go requires, such as copyright and trademark symbols. The FDD also specifies that franchisees must use the Floors To Go name to identify their site within their territory.

While the FDD outlines the franchisee's responsibilities for using the Floors To Go marks on signage, advertising, and promotional materials, it does not explicitly mention vehicles. However, it does state that franchisees must comply with Floors To Go's trademark, service mark, logo, and advertising requirements in internet-based advertising. This suggests that Floors To Go has broad authority over how its marks are used in advertising and promotional contexts, which could potentially extend to vehicles.

Given the lack of specific information about vehicle markings in the FDD, prospective franchisees should seek clarification from Floors To Go regarding their obligations. Specifically, franchisees should ask whether they are required or permitted to display Floors To Go marks on their vehicles, and if so, what the specific requirements are for such displays. This will help franchisees ensure they are in full compliance with Floors To Go's branding and trademark policies.
