What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Floors To Go Franchise Disclosure Document, the specific location and territory details for your Floors To Go showroom are found in Schedule A of the Membership Agreement. This schedule includes the street address of your showroom and a map delineating your protected geographic area, referred to as "Your Territory."
The FDD specifies that the territory is determined based on factors deemed relevant by Floors To Go, such as population density, traffic flow, the presence of other businesses (including competitors and other Floors To Go showrooms), demographics, and overall market conditions. The territory's boundaries may be defined using geographic boundaries, streets, or other criteria that Floors To Go considers appropriate.
It's important to note that the territory granted to a franchisee may be modified upon renewal or transfer of the franchise. If the existing territory is larger than Floors To Go's current standard for territories, the franchisee or transferee may be required to accept a smaller territory upon renewal or transfer. However, Floors To Go will not open or license another showroom using the Floors To Go trade name or trademarks within your designated territory, although franchisees may face competition from other outlets, distribution channels, or competitive brands controlled by Floors To Go, including the FTG Shop At Home program. The franchisee is not restricted from selling products for installation or marketing outside of their territory.
