What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Floors To Go Franchise Disclosure Document, information regarding renewal, termination, transfer, and dispute resolution can be found in Item 17, specifically if you are opening a franchise in Maryland. Exhibit D-6, titled "MARYLAND DISCLOSURE", amends the FDD to include an "Item 17 Cross Reference and Summary Table." This table lists important provisions of the franchise agreement pertaining to assignment and choice of law, which may be superseded by Maryland franchise law.
For prospective Floors To Go franchisees in Maryland, this means that the standard franchise agreement might be altered to comply with Maryland's specific regulations. It is important to carefully review both the standard Item 17 in the FDD and Exhibit D-6 to understand your rights and obligations regarding renewal, termination, transfer, and dispute resolution within the context of Maryland law.
For potential franchisees outside of Maryland, the FDD excerpt does not provide specific details on renewal conditions. Therefore, it's crucial to carefully review Item 17 of the FDD and consult with Floors To Go to fully understand the conditions for renewal, termination, transfer, and dispute resolution applicable to your specific location and franchise agreement.
