What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Floors To Go Franchise Disclosure Document, only Floors To Go may file and prosecute applications for registration of the Marks in any country or jurisdiction. Floors To Go may pursue such registrations as they deem advisable.
As a Floors To Go franchisee, you must cooperate with Floors To Go in connection with any such filings. However, the FDD specifies that the expenses of preparing and prosecuting such applications will be borne solely by Floors To Go.
This means that while franchisees may be required to assist with providing information or documentation, they will not be responsible for covering the costs associated with registering the trademarks. This is a typical arrangement in franchising, as the franchisor owns the trademarks and is responsible for protecting them.
