What are the expectations regarding showroom signage for a Floors To Go franchise?

If you use our FTG approved vendor to purchase your outdoor Showroom signage, following installation, you can apply for a sign credit by submitting copies of the invoices for the Showroom sign to us. Upon verification of your use of our FTG approved vendor and the photographs and invoices, we will issue you a credit of up to $1,000 on your initial Showroom to offset the actual, verified cost of the sign, which credit shall be applied toward your future payment obligations to us. You must be current on all payments due to us to be eligible for the sign credit. If you make any additional changes to the exterior signage, you are required to promptly furnish us with photographs of such altered signage.
You shall remove the FTG Marks from all Showroom signage, interior and exterior;

- You shall immediately cease to use, by advertising or in any manner whatsoever, the name "Floors To Go" and any forms, slogans, signs, marks, symbols, and devices used in connection with the operation of a Floors To Go independent Showroom. You shall not represent or advertise that we were formerly parties to this Agreement or that you did business under our trademarks or trade names; and
You are required to use the name "Floors To Go" and/or such other names, marks, or logos as we shall direct within Your Territory (see Section 7.3).
We shall have the right to approve such signs in order to ensure that they comply with applicable trademark or trade name requirements and contain such legends and symbols as we shall require.
In addition, we reserve the right to require you to use "Floors To Go" in your fictitious trade name and make it a permanent part of your exterior signage. If you choose to develop an independent website, it must comply with our trademark, service mark, logo and advertising requirements, as well as any of our applicable policies and procedures. Therefore, among other things, you must (i) obtain our prior written approval of any Internet domain name and home page addresses used for your independent website, (ii) obtain our prior written approval of all hyperlinks and other links to appear on your independent website, and (iii) restrict your use of any materials in which any third party has any interest. Upon your request and our prior written approval, if you include "Floors To Go" in your fictitious trade name and make it a permanent part of your exterior signage, a hyperlink to your independent website will be placed on the website that we maintain for your Showroom.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Floors To Go Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are expected to adhere to specific guidelines regarding showroom signage. Floors To Go requires franchisees to use the Floors To Go name and authorized logos on all display signs, both interior and exterior. The franchisor retains the right to approve these signs to ensure compliance with trademark and trade name requirements, including the appropriate legends and symbols.
Floors To Go also offers a sign credit program. If a franchisee uses an FTG-approved vendor for outdoor showroom signage, they can apply for a credit of up to $1,000 to offset the sign's cost. This credit is applied to future payment obligations to Floors To Go, but the franchisee must be current on all payments to be eligible. Any alterations to the exterior signage must be promptly communicated to Floors To Go with accompanying photographs.
Upon termination of the franchise agreement, franchisees must remove all FTG Marks from both interior and exterior showroom signage. They must also cease using the Floors To Go name and system in any advertising or manner. Additionally, franchisees are responsible for canceling any assumed name registrations that include the Floors To Go name and providing evidence of compliance to the franchisor within thirty days of termination.
Furthermore, Floors To Go reserves the right to require franchisees to include "Floors To Go" in their fictitious trade name and make it a permanent part of their exterior signage. If a franchisee chooses to develop an independent website and meets these signage requirements, Floors To Go will provide a hyperlink to the franchisee's website on the Floors To Go website.
