Can Floors To Go charge a fee for additional website features and benefits?

You will be provided a website, maintained by us, on the domain www.floorstogo.com for each of your FTG Showrooms. In addition, you will have access to several additional pages, which may be customized for your Showroom. The content of these customized pages and any changes thereto will be subject to our prior review and written approval. From time to time, additional features and benefits may be added to the website, for which we reserve the right to charge a fee to assist in covering costs, including, but not limited to, the costs of developing, implementing and maintaining said features and benefits. In addition, we reserve the right to require you to use "Floors To Go" in your fictitious trade name and make it a permanent part of your exterior signage. If you choose to develop an independent website, it must comply with our trademark, service mark, logo and advertising requirements, as well as any of our applicable policies and procedures. Therefore, among other things, you must (i) obtain our prior written approval of any Internet domain name and home page addresses used for your independent website, (ii) obtain our prior written approval of all hyperlinks and other links to appear on your independent website, and (iii) restrict your use of any materials in which any third party has any interest. Upon your request and our prior written approval, if you include "Floors To Go" in your fictitious trade name and make it a permanent part of your exterior signage, a hyperlink to your independent website will be placed on the website that we maintain for your Showroom.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Floors To Go's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees will be provided a website maintained by Floors To Go on the domain www.floorstogo.com for each showroom. Franchisees will also have access to customizable pages for their showroom, but the content and any changes must be approved by Floors To Go.
Floors To Go reserves the right to add additional features and benefits to the website and to charge a fee for these additions. This fee is intended to assist in covering the costs associated with developing, implementing, and maintaining these new features and benefits.
Floors To Go also reserves the right to require franchisees to use "Floors To Go" in their fictitious trade name and as part of their exterior signage. If a franchisee chooses to develop an independent website, it must comply with Floors To Go's trademark, service mark, logo, and advertising requirements, and the franchisee must obtain prior written approval for the domain name, home page addresses, and hyperlinks used on the independent website. If the franchisee includes "Floors To Go" in their fictitious trade name and makes it a permanent part of their exterior signage, Floors To Go will place a hyperlink to the franchisee's independent website on the website that Floors To Go maintains for the showroom.
