What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee's payments of fees and other amounts outlined in the agreement constitute reasonable consideration for the franchise and other rights awarded in connection with the Franchised Business during the term of the agreement. This means that the initial franchise fee, ongoing royalty fees, and any other fees specified in the agreement are the franchisee's payment for the rights and benefits they receive from Fitstop. These rights include the right to operate a Fitstop franchise, use the Fitstop system and Proprietary Marks, and receive support and training from Fitstop.
Fitstop awards the franchisee the right to independently own and operate a fitness facility, known as a System Business, that features membership-based fitness classes combining strength training, nutritional information, and other fitness-related instruction. Franchisees also gain access to various fitness and gym equipment, group fitness training, and the ability to sell approved fitness apparel, merchandise, nutritional items, and branded retail items. This comprehensive package of services and products forms the core offering of a Fitstop franchise.
Fitstop also provides ongoing consultation to franchisees on operations, advertising, promotion, and administration. This support includes scheduled meetings, which may occur weekly, monthly, or quarterly, with dedicated business performance coaches. However, Fitstop does not provide consultation related to employment practices. This ongoing support is designed to help franchisees develop and operate their Fitstop franchise effectively, ensuring they have access to expert advice and guidance.
