What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, you generally must use Fitstop's Approved Supplier for the layout and design of your premises. Fitstop will review and approve your signage and the proposed layout and design of your premises, which must be prepared by their Approved Supplier.
However, there is an exception to this rule. Fitstop may agree otherwise in writing, allowing you to use a different supplier for the layout and design. This suggests that while the standard is to use Fitstop's designated supplier, there may be room for negotiation or exceptions based on specific circumstances.
As a prospective franchisee, it would be prudent to discuss this requirement with Fitstop during your due diligence. You should inquire about the criteria under which they might approve an alternative supplier, the process for requesting such an exception, and any potential cost or quality implications of using a supplier outside of their approved network. Understanding these factors will help you make an informed decision about the franchise opportunity and plan your initial setup expenses accordingly.
