What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Fitstop Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are explicitly prohibited from granting sub-franchises or seeking to franchise, license, or permit others to use the Fitstop franchise. This restriction is in place to ensure that Fitstop maintains control over its brand and the quality of its franchise network.

This means that a Fitstop franchisee cannot independently expand the brand by offering franchises to other individuals or entities. The right to award franchises remains solely with Fitstop USA, Inc. This is a common practice in franchising, as franchisors typically want to carefully select and manage their franchisees to maintain consistency and protect their brand standards.

For a prospective Fitstop franchisee, this restriction means they must focus on operating their own single franchised business. If they are interested in expanding their involvement with Fitstop, they would need to discuss opportunities directly with the franchisor, such as potentially becoming an area developer if such opportunities exist and are offered by Fitstop.
