What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program for the franchisee and up to two additional individuals, such as a General Manager, is provided without a Training Fee if they attend and complete all components of the program to Fitstop's satisfaction before opening the Franchised Business or providing services/products.
However, if there is a change in the Franchise Operator or General Manager in the future, the new individual must enroll in and successfully complete the Initial Training Program. In this case, Fitstop reserves the right to charge its then-current Training Fee for any training provided.
Additionally, any personnel the franchisee wishes to designate as an 'Authorized Instructor' must participate in and successfully complete Fitstop's proprietary training program for instructors before providing any fitness training or classes. The FDD states that franchisees must ensure payments are made for Training Fees for new/replacement Authorized Instructors or any additional/remedial training, as outlined in the manuals or in writing.
