What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program consists of three components. These include Remote Training, Corporate Training, and Initial On-Site Training. Franchisees and their designated managers will have remote access to Classroom Training, which they must complete online through video instruction or another designated learning management system. This system will monitor participation, track progress, and test competency levels as Fitstop deems appropriate.
Corporate Training is provided at Fitstop's corporate training location, which is currently located in California. Franchisees and up to two additional individuals can attend this training. The FDD specifies that Fitstop may use video or other digital technology for certain portions of the Classroom Training hours while at the corporate training location.
Initial On-Site Training requires participation and completion to Fitstop's satisfaction by the franchisee, their management, their initial management team, and the franchised business personnel involved in initial operations. Fitstop may provide this training around the time of the franchised business's soft opening. However, Fitstop may condition the franchisee's ability to attend Corporate Training and receive Initial On-Site Training on factors such as marketing expenditures, establishing an EFT account, obtaining required insurance, and providing completed copies of agreements.
