What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Item 11 covers the franchisor's assistance, advertising, computer systems, and training. Specifically, Section F of Item 11 addresses post-opening obligations and references sections 2, 3, 4, 10, and 14 of the Franchise Agreement. This indicates that these sections contain provisions relevant to the franchisee's responsibilities and the franchisor's support after the Fitstop location has opened for business.

Fitstop may require franchisees and their designated managers to attend annual additional or refresher courses, as well as remedial training if necessary to address defaults under the Franchise Agreement. The franchisor may charge a training fee, currently $500 per day per trainer, for any additional or remedial training that franchisees and their employees attend. Franchisees are also responsible for all expenses incurred while attending these training sessions. Fitstop may also provide instructional training to authorized instructors appointed by the franchisee to deliver approved services, potentially charging a training fee beyond the initial instructor team (currently $1,500).

Furthermore, Fitstop may provide continuing consultation and advice regarding the management and operation of the franchised business, using methods such as telephone, facsimile, or intranet communication. The franchisor retains the right to approve or deny any advertising or marketing materials used by the franchisee. Fitstop also has the authority to approve or disapprove requests to purchase or offer non-approved products or services and to make required purchases from suppliers other than the franchisor's approved suppliers. These stipulations ensure that Fitstop maintains control over brand consistency, operational standards, and quality control within its franchise network.
