What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop has the right to require franchisees to offer and sell additional goods or services. The FDD states that franchisees will be obligated to offer and sell any new or replacement products and/or services that Fitstop designates. There are no limits on Fitstop's right to require franchisees to offer and sell new products.
This means that as a Fitstop franchisee, you must comply with any mandates from Fitstop to sell new or different products or services. This could include supplements, apparel, or new training programs. You do not have the option to refuse these mandates.
Fitstop also has the right to designate which franchisees participate in new product or service tests, new or modified product or service offerings, and other programs and initiatives. If you are selected to participate in any such program, initiative, or campaign, you must participate when and as required by Fitstop. This gives Fitstop considerable control over the products and services offered at your franchise and allows them to test new offerings within the franchise system.
