What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for all fees and costs related to meetings, conferences, and annual conventions. Specifically, the franchisee and their General Manager must attend these events, and the franchisee is solely responsible for covering all associated expenses.
To help franchisees manage the costs of the annual convention, Fitstop may require franchisees to remit a monthly contribution. If a franchisee or their General Manager fails to attend the annual convention, the amount equal to their attendance fee will be forfeited, and the franchisee will be in material default of the Franchise Agreement.
Fitstop determines the location, agenda, duration, procedures, and formats of these meetings, conferences, and annual conventions, providing franchisees with reasonable written notice. Franchisees should budget for these mandatory events, as attendance is required, and failure to attend results in penalties.
