What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for ensuring the security of telephone and communication systems. Specifically, if Fitstop requests in writing at any time during the term of the franchise agreement, the franchisee must ensure that all telephone and communications systems are secure from unauthorized access or use.
This requirement means that a Fitstop franchisee must take proactive measures to protect these systems. These measures could include implementing password protection, installing firewalls, and regularly updating security software. The franchisee is also responsible for paying all charges associated with the use of these systems and for making any changes or substitutions to communication numbers as requested by Fitstop.
It is important to note that Fitstop retains the right to require the franchisee to transfer any communications number to them at any time and for any reason. This highlights the franchisor's control over the communication systems used within the franchise. The franchisee should factor in these potential costs and obligations when evaluating the Fitstop franchise opportunity.
