What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must notify Fitstop within 24 hours of any legal requirements or developments affecting the franchise. This includes notifying Fitstop of any government orders, the reasons for those orders, and the corrective action the franchisee has taken or plans to take.

This requirement ensures that Fitstop is promptly informed about any legal or regulatory issues that could impact the franchise or the Fitstop system as a whole. By mandating a quick notification, Fitstop can offer support, ensure compliance, and protect its brand reputation. The franchisee's responsibility extends to staying informed about all applicable laws and regulations and acting swiftly to address any issues that arise.

For a prospective Fitstop franchisee, this means maintaining a proactive approach to legal and regulatory compliance. It's not enough to simply obtain the necessary licenses and permits; franchisees must also monitor ongoing developments and be prepared to communicate promptly with Fitstop about any changes or challenges. This requirement highlights the importance of having systems in place to track legal and regulatory matters and to quickly assess and respond to any new developments.
