What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must obtain approval before using any advertising or promotional materials, signs, forms, and stationary. This requirement applies unless Fitstop has already prepared or approved the materials prior to their use, or unless the materials conform to the advertising standards identified in the Operations Manual.
This means that a Fitstop franchisee cannot independently create and use their own advertising materials without prior authorization from Fitstop, ensuring brand consistency and adherence to company standards. Franchisees have the option to purchase advertising and promotional materials, brochures, fliers, forms, business cards, and letterhead from Fitstop or its approved vendors, which would presumably already meet the required standards.
The Operations Manual serves as a guide for franchisees, outlining the specific advertising standards that must be followed. By adhering to these standards or using pre-approved materials, franchisees can avoid the need for individual approval. This policy allows Fitstop to maintain control over its brand image and marketing strategies while providing franchisees with approved resources to promote their business.
It is important for prospective Fitstop franchisees to carefully review the Operations Manual and understand the advertising standards to ensure compliance. They should also clarify with Fitstop the process for submitting materials for approval and the turnaround time for such requests. Understanding these requirements is crucial for effective marketing and avoiding potential conflicts with the franchisor.
