What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop can require franchisees to install, change, or upgrade telephone and communication systems used in their franchise. If Fitstop requests it in writing during the term of the agreement, the franchisee must install and use specified telephone and other communication systems, including point-of-sale hardware and software.

Fitstop can also mandate changes or upgrades to existing telephone and communication systems that they deem obsolete or superseded. This includes the installation of new systems specified by Fitstop. The franchisee is responsible for ensuring that all telephone and communication systems are secure from unauthorized access or use.

The franchisee is also responsible for paying all charges to telecommunications service providers and must change, substitute, or discontinue the use of any communications number if Fitstop requests it. Fitstop can also require the franchisee to transfer any communications number to them at any time and for any reason. This gives Fitstop significant control over the communication infrastructure used in the franchise and ensures uniformity across the Fitstop system.
