What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop does provide on-site assistance and training at the franchisee's location. Specifically, Fitstop offers "On-Site Assistance" and "Initial On-Site Training" to the franchisee, their management team, and the initial staff involved in operations. This training typically occurs around the time of the franchisee's soft opening. However, Fitstop will not provide on-site training until the franchisee has secured a Certificate of Occupancy and has taken all necessary steps to open the Fitstop business to the public.
Before Fitstop provides on-site training, certain conditions must be met. The franchisee needs to spend the required amount on marketing and pre-opening sales activities, establish an EFT account for payments, obtain the necessary insurance coverage, and provide signed copies of all required agreements. The franchisee is responsible for all costs associated with completing the on-site training, including wages for their personnel.
Fitstop also requires that any individual serving as an Authorized Instructor participates in and completes the Instructor Training program and attends all portions of the Initial On-Site Training. Failure to complete the required initial training to Fitstop's satisfaction may result in default and potential termination of the Franchise Agreement. Fitstop also offers remote and corporate training programs, in addition to the on-site training, to ensure franchisees and their teams are well-prepared to operate their Fitstop business.
