What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop will make staff available for consultation on operations, advertising, promotion, and administration as they deem appropriate. They will also provide continuing assistance in the development and operation of the franchise through scheduled meetings with dedicated business performance coaches.
However, Fitstop explicitly states that they will not and cannot provide franchisees with consultation related to employment practices. This means franchisees are responsible for ensuring compliance with all employment laws and regulations without direct guidance from the franchisor.
This is a critical point for prospective franchisees to understand. They will need to develop their own expertise in employment law or seek external professional advice to manage their employees effectively and legally. Fitstop's lack of consultation in this area places the onus entirely on the franchisee to mitigate risks associated with employment practices.
