What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the proposed layout and design of the premises must be prepared by Fitstop's Approved Supplier, unless Fitstop agrees otherwise in writing. Fitstop retains the right to review and approve the proposed layout and design of the premises, as well as signage, equipment, furniture, and fixtures used in connection with the Franchised Business.

This requirement ensures that all Fitstop franchises maintain a consistent brand image and operational standard. By mandating the use of an Approved Supplier, Fitstop aims to control the quality and uniformity of the franchise's physical appearance and functionality.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they will likely need to budget for the costs associated with using Fitstop's designated supplier for the layout and design. However, the franchisee should confirm whether there are any exceptions or possibilities for using alternative suppliers, and if so, under what conditions Fitstop might grant written approval. It is also important to understand the scope of Fitstop's review and approval process to ensure compliance and avoid potential delays in setting up the franchise.
