What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop may provide instructional training to Authorized Instructors that franchisees wish to appoint. This training would be for personnel authorized to provide approved services at the franchisee's location, consistent with Fitstop's system standards and specifications as outlined in the manual or in writing.

The FDD indicates that Fitstop expects and intends to provide this training remotely as of the issue date of the document. However, Fitstop reserves the right to charge a training fee for any Authorized Instructor beyond the initial instructor team. As of the issue date, this fee is $1,500.

This means that while Fitstop may offer training for instructors beyond the initial team, it is not obligated to do so for free. The franchisee will be responsible for paying the specified training fee to Fitstop for each additional instructor they wish to have trained. This is a common practice in franchising, where franchisors often charge for additional or specialized training to ensure consistent service delivery across all locations.
