Is Fitstop obligated to conduct inspections of the premises of a Fitstop Franchised Business?

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop is not obligated to conduct inspections of a franchisee's business premises. However, Fitstop retains the right to conduct inspections and audits of the Franchised Business and its operations generally, as they deem advisable. These inspections serve to ensure compliance with Fitstop's System standards and specifications and to consult in the development and growth of the Franchised Business.

Following an inspection, Fitstop may prepare written reports that outline recommended or required changes or improvements in the operations of the Franchised Business. These reports may also detail any deficiencies that become evident as a result of the inspection or audit. If an inspection reveals any deficiencies, the franchisee will be responsible for Fitstop's costs in conducting the inspection.

This discretionary power allows Fitstop to monitor and maintain the quality and consistency of its brand across all franchise locations. For a prospective franchisee, this means that while inspections are not guaranteed, they should be prepared for the possibility of inspections and audits and should maintain compliance with Fitstop's standards to avoid incurring additional costs.
